Rami Malek is reported to be about 5 ft 7 in (170 cm) tall. The figure comes from a 2015 Bloomberg News profile, available through the Daily Herald. It is a reported height, rather than a verified barefoot measurement.
The American actor is best known for playing Elliot Alderson in Mr. Robot and Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody (2018).
Where does the 5 ft 7 in figure come from?
Bloomberg journalist Nic Screws describes Malek as 5-foot-7 in an interview republished by the Daily Herald on August 31, 2015. Screws met the actor during a styling session in New York.
The report does not explain how the number was obtained. That limits its precision: it supports the published 5 ft 7 in figure, without settling his exact height.
For the metric equivalent, 5 ft 7 in converts to 170.18 cm, or about 170 cm. The rounded figure matches the precision of the original report.

This full-length view shows Malek at a real event; it is visual context, not a height measurement.
What about the WIRED height answer?
WIRED’s 2018 Autocomplete interview with Charlie Hunnam includes a “5’11” height reply (about 180 cm). The transcript gives no measurement or explanation for its difference from Bloomberg’s figure, so it does not resolve Malek’s exact height.

Malek won the 2016 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series as Elliot in Mr. Robot. His portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody brought him the 2019 Best Actor Oscar. The Television Academy and the Academy’s award records confirm those wins.
His later film work includes The Amateur (2025), in which he plays CIA decoder Charlie Heller. The official studio page also credits him as a producer.
