Zendaya reports a height of 5 ft 10 in (about 178 cm). That puts her around 2 inches taller than Tom Holland using the figures in her interview and his GQ profile. Below, you can watch her answer and see the comparison illustrated.

An actress and singer, Zendaya first reached television audiences through Disney Channel before taking on MJ in Spider-Man, Rue in Euphoria and Chani opposite Timothée Chalamet in Dune. Her screen work and public appearances make her a familiar face across film, television and music.

What has Zendaya said about her height?

In WIRED’s June 25, 2019 Autocomplete Interview, she answers the question directly with “5’10.” Her stylist Law Roach also described her as five foot ten in a 2017 Fashionista interview.

The video below features Zendaya with her Spider-Man: Far From Home co-stars. Her answer supports the reported figure used here; it is a personal statement rather than a documented barefoot measurement.

In centimetres, 5 ft 10 in = 177.8 cm, conventionally rounded to 178 cm. The two metric figures describe the same height at different levels of precision.

Zendaya and Tom Holland: Height Difference

Zendaya is approximately 2 inches (5.1 cm) taller than Tom Holland, based on their reported heights. GQ’s November 2021 profile reports Tom Holland’s height as 5 ft 8 in, or about 173 cm.

The calculation uses the original inches before rounding. In a photograph, footwear and where each person stands can make the gap look larger or smaller.

This shared-event photograph gives a real view of the cast together. The pair are separated by other actors and their feet are partly hidden, so it is useful context rather than a precise measuring reference.

Why does Zendaya look taller in red carpet photos?

Heels add to standing height, while posture and camera perspective change the apparent difference between two people. If one person stands closer to the camera, they can appear larger even without any change in footwear.

The hem partly conceals her shoes, so the photograph gives context without establishing how much height her footwear adds.

Holland discussed that effect in his GQ profile: he recalled standing closer to photographers on red carpets to appear taller. A tightly cropped head-and-shoulders image removes the floor and shoes that would help explain the difference.
